Pioneers Local Manager, IFKA Nonprofit Ltd.
Hungarian local team consists of a local PIP manager and a coaching team.
Local manager is Zsuzsanna Viszlay. She holds a degree in agronomy and in environmental management, she works for IFKA since 2005. Her main responsibility besides Pioneers is taking part in waste management, circular economy and industrial symbiosis projects. She was a pioneer in 2013.
With regards to the Pioneers program, Zsuzsanna is responsible for the overall delivery of the programme.
Valéria has been a freelance business consultant for SMEs and non-profit organisations since switching from a classic corporate legal career in 2016. She is also pursuing a PhD; researching the issue of regularizing climate change induced migration under international law and teaching international environmental law focusing on climate change and sustainable development, and human rights law. Valéria is a Climate Reality Leader and was a Pioneer (placed in Estonia) in 2018.
Local coach Péter Vigh is leading a climate action awareness raising campaign with 3 climate scientists and many other contributing experts delivering understandable science communication and dissemination. Before becoming a professional freelancer in the field of climate communication, he worked as a project advisor for LIFE projects. He is a former pioneer (2018) and local climate expert (2019) of the Pioneers into Practice programme. He holds a PhD in the field of literature and cultural studies.
István Kertész is a PhD student in food physics, working as an assistant lecturer and a product development and technology advisor. He has led and participated in award-winning product and service development projects in the fields of sustainable and healthy food products. István has experience from multiple perspectives in the Pioneers into Practice programme: he has been a pioneer in 2017, a challenge owner in 2018 and a host organization manager in 2019.
