By observing the systems we live and work in, we begin to understand the web of interrelations that create complex problems. We can start to accelerate innovation in areas where human activity critically impacts greenhouse gas emissions – such as cities, land use, water, industry and finance.
To tackle these complex challenges, we need a systems innovation approach, the basis for Pioneers into Practice. It helps participants gain a broader perspective by fully diagnosing the systems around their challenges – such as key actors, emerging opportunities and leverage points – followed by reflection, to determine which solutions will make an impact.
